18 of Canada’s most compelling debut books have been selected in three genres: Nonfiction, Literary Fiction and Speculative Fiction. Congratulations to Susan Cullen who has been shortlisted for her novel, The World Collective.

Chicken House Press has signed author Ace Baker of Vancouver, British Columbia for his short story collection, HOW TO MAKE A KILLING JAR.

Used book sales have boosted the Writers of Tomorrow Fund to allow space for five full scholarships for the spring workshop.

Guests were invited to meet the author of The World Collective, have their book signed, and listen to a reading.

Chicken House Press has just secured author Rebecca Benison of Long Island, New York for her debut female-led novel, HARVEST CRUISE, a gripping adult thriller.

Through its quarterly literary arts magazine, Blank Spaces, Chicken House Press sponsored a fiction contest for Canadians that was open to entries from June 1 - August 31, 2022. All stories had to be under 3000 words and written to the theme of Small Town Summer Nights.
