SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL — CHP wants to create an annual field party festival that celebrates local authors, artisans, and musicians, with opportunity for creatives to showcase and sell their work. For this to become a reality CHP must acquire a festival license and insurance as well as rent or build appropriate washroom facilities.

ANNUAL RETREAT WEEKENDS — CHP envisions offering retreat weekends full of writing opportunities and mentorship. This would require a rented space and hired caterer as well as a potential for hired guest speakers.

YOUTH BURSARY FUND — CHP has set up a bursary fund to make child and youth programs accessible to families who may not have the budget to allow their child to participate in things like the Virtual Writer’s Camp. 10% of any donation will be directed to this fund which is currently in its early stages of growth. If you wish your full donation to be applied to the fund, please specify within the checkout process.

LIBRARY & SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP — CHP would love to build relationships with schools and libraries, offering appropriate titles for free to add to their collections while also facilitating and promoting speaking/reading engagements for CHP authors.

PAID STUDENT INTERN — CHP believes there is huge value in supporting students wishing to explore the publishing industry and would consider it a great honour to be able to pay an intern a living wage for a semester.
