In a Facebook post announcing his winning, J. T. said:

I am flattered, humbled, and honored to have won this award for my debut novel #RedBrickRoad from Chicken House Press.

When you are new to something like this and you put yourself out there, you never quite know what to expect. I knew I had a good story on my hands, and now it seems like a lot of other people are believing it, too. I mean, writers don’t write for the awards...but they sure are nice to get.

Thank you to the fine folks at International Impact Book Awards for this opportunity, and this award. I’m gobsmacked; this is phenomenal.

J. T. is already hard at work on his next novel as well as an audio book version of Red Brick Road. Be sure you’re following him on social media for updates, including dates for readings and appearances.
