The Yellow Chair Campaign

November 10, 2022

As of today, I have reached 75% of the 2022 gross income goal I set for my small business. That means I have 52 days left to achieve it. 👀

I want this yellow chair. I promised myself that I could get it if I reached this goal. This image has been pinned to the bulletin board beside my desk as constant incentive. Is it frivolous? Yes. Why do I want it? Because I do.

Will you help me get a yellow chair? Please consider doing some of your holiday shopping at chickenhousepress.ca - I’ve got books and goodies for the readers and writers in your life.

Goals are important and incentives matter, especially on the days when things feel hard. Sometimes I go to IKEA just to visit this chair. I touch her sunshine fabric and whisper, “we’ll be together soon.” She never responds, but I can feel her winking.
