Maurine Gillberry (nee Pitt), grew up on a farm near Chesley, Ontario. After finishing high school and a teaching degree, she taught elementary school in her home area for three years, and then moved to Calgary, Alberta to complete a Masters in Educational Psychology. Returning to Ontario, Maurine worked for many years as a Psychology Associate in a large Toronto-area school board.

Maurine and her husband have now retired to the farm she grew up on. Maurine enjoys many outdoor activities, as well as travelling, reading, and spending time with her two daughters and their young families.

Her debut novel, Seeking Sara is coming in 2024 from Alanna Rusnak Publishing.
